The Wee Con 2025 - It's a Wrap!
Thank you to everyone that made The Wee Con the wonderful event that it was! I think we can all agree that a fantastic time was had by all.
We'll add some links to pictures, videos and other after-action materials here - stay tuned!

The Wee Con 2025 was a fan-run Our Flag Means Death convention, taking place in Edinburgh, UK from 31 October - 2 November 2025.
The con name came from the fact that our first event was in Edinburgh, hometown of none other than our beloved Buttons, played by Ewen Bremner. It only felt right to have a wee bit of Scots in our event name. Also because it was planned as a relatively wee (small) con. Always love a wee Con.
Our Kickstarter was a roaring success! We hit our initial funding goal, which completely covered the cost of the venues and all essentials to get things running.
What is The Wee Con 2025?
It’s been a rough couple of years for the Our Flag Means Death fandom – and in the world as a whole – but we have taken comfort in the words of our cast and crew. They reminded us loudly and proudly that we are a community and that we’re stronger together now more than ever. Based on this message, we wanted to create a con for us, by us, where we can be with our friends and our community and stick together.
The Wee Con 2025 is the first of what we hope will be many events under the Our Flag Means Community banner. Maybe, one day, we can strive to have little ones popping up all over the place to give people everywhere a chance to meet and spend time together.
At its heart, OFMC is a non-profit event created to bring us together. At the end of the weekend, after all expenses are covered and dealt with, all residual money was donated to charity. (We'll put the details up here shortly.)
Why did we do this?
The weekend consisted of a number of wonderful activities, including:
Group and individual panels
Smaller workshops with crafters and artists and writers
A Very Piratical Quiz
A drag show – because how could we have an OFMD event without one?
Cosplay and talent showcase
A virtual Q&A with Alex Sherman
Calypso’s Floating Market, for lovers of beauty to buy crafty things from talented people
The Chill-Art area, for people to hang out and make arts and crafts together
