Our Venues
The Wee Con will be taking part at two different venues in central Edinburgh. We are excited about our spaces and look forward to sharing them with you!
For now, we've included accessibility info below each space, but we will be updating and centralizing this information for convenience.

The Pleasance Courtyard
Our main venue for the event is The Pleasance Courtyard, a gorgeous collection of buildings that is part of the University of Edinburgh.
The Pleasance Theatre
The Pleasance Theatre is our biggest location, and can fit up to 250 people. As the name suggests, this is tiered theatre-style with fold-down cushioned benches.
This is where will be having the main panels, any Q&A sessions, and the talent/cosplay showcase.
Accessibility:
The Pleasance Theatre is accessible with a lift to the seating area. Although the theatre is tiered, there is designated space for wheelchairs in the front rows, and we will also reserve accessible seating there.
Unfortunately, the stage is not currently accessible, but we are in talks with the venue to see if we can make it so for the weekend.
The Upper Hall
The Upper Hall is our second-largest space for the whole weekend. This room is where we’ll hold Calypso’s Floating Market, where artists and creators can sell their wares. We will also have arts and crafts tables set up for people to use and entertain themselves.
This room also has a large screen so there is potential for us to live stream the panels from the theatre for people who would rather watch it there.
Accessibility:
The Upper Hall is accessible by lift.
Lomond and Munro
These two rooms will be for the smaller panels and workshops. They can fit around 20 people each.
Accessibility:
Lomond is fully accessible from within the building, using the same lift that connects to the theatre and the upper hall.
Munro has a street level entrance on the outside of the building that allows wheelchair access.
The Music Room
This is a room in the adjoining building. For those in need of rest and a little bit of quiet during the weekend, we will have a Blanket Fort in this room.
Accessibility:
The Music Room is accessible by a ramp and lift.
The Café/Bar
The venue itself also has a public café/bar on the ground floor of the main building, that sells food and drink.
On Friday and Sunday, this space will be open is available to both members of the public and us as guests in the venue.
On Saturday, we will have full hire for the café/bar as an additional hang-out area.

The Cafe/Bar is fully accessible.
Assembly Roxy Central
Our closing night Drag Show (hosted by Two Acts of Drag, Please) and party will be held at Assembly Roxy Central, a lovely space not far from the Pleasance Courtyard!
Accessibility:
The Roxy Central is fully accessible, with accessible facilities and a ramp. The main space is flat and tables will be set up along the sides for spectators.
